While we hope that your experience with Modrinth Servers has all of the features you want, we understand that this is not always the case. In light of this, Modrinth's support staff may be able to issue refunds depending on certain circumstances with your server.
Please note that, in the event of a server crashing or otherwise being nonfunctional, it is often possible for Modrinth's support staff to resolve the issue without resorting to a refund. However, we will still respect your decision.
If a refund is requested within 24 hours of the transaction, we will issue a full refund upon request.
If a refund is requested more than 24 hours after the transaction has occurred, and Modrinth's support staff can verify that you have not used your server during the billing cycle, we will issue a partial refund corresponding to the remaining days in your billing cycle.
If a refund is requested more than 24 hours after the transaction has occurred, and you have been encountering issues with the server caused by the Modrinth Servers hardware/software, we will issue a partial refund corresponding to the days your server was rendered inaccessible. Please note that this does not apply to crashes caused by mods, faulty configuration files/settings, or mod loaders.
If you do not meet any of the above criteria, Modrinth's support staff may not be able to issue you a refund. However, if you believe you have circumstances that should still result in a refund, our staff may be willing to accommodate you.
In order to request a refund, please open a ticket by clicking on the green bubble in the bottom-right corner. Select "Modrinth Servers", then provide the requested information.
In order to issue a refund, Modrinth's support staff needs to know your Modrinth username. You can find this by clicking on your user avatar in the top-right corner of the website, then "Profile".
Chargeback policy
If you issue a chargeback on your Modrinth Server subscription, Modrinth will immediately terminate any and all servers you have associated with your account, and prevent you from being able to create any servers in the future. This is because our payment processor charges us a very large fee whenever a dispute is filed β often, this amount is larger than a single transaction. If you believe you have grounds for a dispute, please attempt to resolve the issue with Modrinth support before going through with this. Often, we will be able to resolve the issue much faster than a dispute process will.
