Can I recover my account if I no longer have access to my two-factor authenticator?

When you turned on two-factor authentication (2FA) for your account, you should have received a list of backup codes that you should save in a safe place. You can use these backup codes instead of the regular TOTP codes to sign in to your account and turn off 2FA. You can use each code only once.

If you don't have the backup codes, Modrinth will not be able to recover your account and such recovery requests to support will be denied. To continue using Modrinth, you can create a new account. Please note that we will not be able to transfer any data, projects or revenue from the accounts that are inaccessible due to the lost 2FA authenticator to your new account.
