Unfortunately, there is currently a known issue for users of the Modrinth App on Linux involving the user interface acting slow and sluggish.

At this moment in time, there is not any official solution for this problem. However, there are unofficial fixes, including using the Flatpak version of the app. For more information, you can take a look at this GitHub issue on the topic.
